Title: Sky Worm´s Secret
Artists: Hertta Kiiski and Janne Punkari

A shimmering cosmic rose drifts among the stars,
While a skyworm slides through nebulae afar.
Two planets—one volcanic, one icy and bright—
Circle close, whispering secrets in starlit flight.
Together, they dance in eternal display,
A cosmic rhythm of night and day.
The worm, the rose, the moon, the sun—
In the vastness of space, all become one.

Finnish artist duo Hertta Kiiski and Janne Punkari engage in a shared practice that spans photography, objects, textiles, and video. Their work operates within a fluid space where celestial phenomena and still life collide, embracing intuition and welcoming moments of chaos. By recontextualizing everyday materials and questioning their inherent meanings and uses, they generate new narratives—a layered exploration in which the boundaries between the trivial, the cosmic, and the absurd dissolve.

Hertta Kiiski’s work has been featured internationally in solo and group exhibitions across museums, galleries, and festivals. Janne Punkari is currently completing his MFA at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts. Sky Worm’s Secret marks their fifth collaborative exhibition, coinciding with a rare alignment of the planets in the sky. Their next project is set to be presented this spring at NOON Projects in Los Angeles.
