The National Nordic Museum

Photo credit: Jim Bennett/Photo Bakery for National Nordic Museum

Combining scent, sound, sculpture, 3D graphics, and photography, Fischersund: Faux Flora at The National Nordic Museum in Seattle has enchanted audiences and drawn visitors from around the region. The exhibition has been extended through February 23, 2025, giving you four more weeks to discover the sights, scents, and sounds of these fictional plant species.
On February 19, 2025, as a farewell to the special exhibition Faux Flora, the Fischersund Art and Music Collective—Inga and Lilja Birgisdottir, Sin Fang (of the band Seabear), and Kjartan Holm will guide you through a first-ever 70-minute long transportive, healing journey using sound and scent. Only two experiences are available at 4 PM and 6 PM (already sold out). This rare and intimate experience is limited to 70 registrants per timeslot and will be paired with an opportunity to visit Fischersund: Faux Flora after hours with the artists present, before it closes to the public.  Each ticket includes an exclusive Faux Flora gift from the artists.  Please bring your own yoga mat or cushions for comfort.
